Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
This role complements the professional work of English teachers by taking responsibility for small group English tuition (typically groups of 1,2 or 3) up to GCSE English Language and Literature level.
To advance pupils’ progress in English. Activities involve planning, preparing and delivering tuition sessions as well as monitoring pupils, assessing, recording and reporting on pupils achievement and progress, under the direction of the class teacher and Key Stage 3 and 4 leader for English.
