What skills and experience we're looking for

Skills

  • Be enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated to prepare and deliver lessons to whole classes in the planned absence of the teacher, i.e. for PPA or leadership duties
  • Be able to assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs
  • Can support behavioural management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Able to assist with the organisation of classroom resources and materials to facilitate effective teaching and learning
  • Can communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues, and parents to ensure consistent support for student progress
  • Is able to contribute to safeguarding procedures and promote a safe, inclusive school environment
  • Inspire, motivate and encourage children and enable them to be the best that they can be.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Has relevant HLTA or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience in teaching or supporting across a range of year groups in educational settings is preferred
  • Experience supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
