Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
You will join an amazing school which is part of an amazing trust where great things can happen. You will receive considerable support from the Trust. You must have a disposition to understand that behaviour is a form of communication and will need to have a sophisticated understanding which recognises that punitive strategies are not supported in this school.
The post holder will be required to work with our teachers as part of a professional team to organise and support teaching and learning activities for pupils identified as having a range of needs including: moderate, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, behavioural, social, mental, emotional, communication, sensory or physical difficulties. You will make decisions as to how to deliver the agreed work plans following assessment on the pupil’s individual and often complex needs. You will have specific responsibilities for the management and development of key areas within the school and/or management of other support staff including the allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal and training.

Hours: 37 Hours per week08.30 - 16.30 Monday to Thursday, 08.30 - 16.00 on Fridays Term time only plus 5 training days
