History Teacher job summary
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, child centred teacher of history for the above position to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will be, or if ECT have the ability to become, an inspirational classroom practitioner.
The history department is a successful and vibrant team of staff that consistently support students to achieve excellent outcomes. In addition to quality first teaching and learning, staff help to personalise each student’s experience of history through focused intervention and extra-curricular trips and visits. Each of the four full-time history teachers have their own classroom, appropriately equipped with laptop, projector and visualiser and there is a comprehensive induction programme in place to support new staff.
Frederick Gough School is an over-subscribed community school, which aims to ensure all of its learners leave as happy, well rounded, qualified individuals ready to succeed in the next chapter of their lives.
