History Teacher Maternity Cover job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to provide 1 year fixed-term maternity cover which will include supporting a small KS4 group through their preparation for History GCSE and developing our pupils’ understanding of wider history and developing their cultural capital as part of our KS3 humanities curriculum.
Successful applicants will be expected to design and develop learning sequences which reflect our high aspirations of pupils and promote positive engagement with learning. Applicants will also demonstrate a confident ability to form positive working relationships with young people and will be able to respond effectively to the needs of their pupils.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated and ambitious colleague who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues but would also welcome the autonomy afforded to our teaching staff to develop their own curriculum in response to emerging pedagogical practices, research and the needs of pupils.
