Dukes Secondary School is seeking an experienced History teacher to join the dedicated teaching team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where high expectations, strong relationships, and a commitment to excellence are at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about bringing history to life in the classroom and committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences for all students. The successful candidate will be able to inspire curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and motivate young people through their enthusiasm for the subject.

Please note, interviews for this role will take place on Thursday 21st May.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support the curriculum and enable students to develop their knowledge and understanding.
  • Support and guide students in their learning, and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all learners can thrive.
  • Build strong and professional relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers to ensure every student receives effective support and encouragement.
  • Monitor student progress and use assessment effectively to inform teaching and promote excellent outcomes.
  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at all times.
