Are you passionate about making a difference for neurodiverse learners?

Witham Oaks Academy is seeking a dedicated and skilled HLTA to join our specialist alternative provision for autistic young people. This is a unique opportunity to work in a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is celebrated for who they are. The successful candidate will work closely with the provision lead, teaching staff, therapists, and families to deliver high-quality, personalised support that enables pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience supporting children with autism and/or SEMH needs
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of inclusive practices and sensory needs
  • Ability to lead small group interventions and support personalised learning
  • A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to behaviour and communication
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

  • HLTA Status or equivalent qualification and experience in a primary school setting
  • English and Maths GCSE A-C or equivalent grades
