Witham Oaks Academy is seeking a dedicated and skilled HLTA to join our specialist alternative provision for autistic young people. This is a unique opportunity to work in a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is celebrated for who they are. The successful candidate will work closely with the provision lead, teaching staff, therapists, and families to deliver high-quality, personalised support that enables pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience supporting children with autism and/or SEMH needs
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of inclusive practices and sensory needs
- Ability to lead small group interventions and support personalised learning
- A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to behaviour and communication
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- HLTA Status or equivalent qualification and experience in a primary school setting
- English and Maths GCSE A-C or equivalent grades
