30 Hours per week Monday - Friday, term time only, including 5 inset days.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with the skills and knowledge to support children in all stages of primary education. You would be expected to cover classes by delivering lessons set by the class teacher that may be part of regular PPA release, management release or staff absence. You may also be deployed cover other classes across the school.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • Holds an HLTA qualification and has a secure knowledge of primary education.

  • Has GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above and a Level 3 teaching and learning qualification.

  • Is motivated, positive, hardworking and willing to join an enthusiastic team.

  • Is able to demonstrate high expectations for learning and behaviour, working within the schools policies and procedures.

  • Champions children and puts their needs and well-being at the forefront of the purpose of their role.

  • Is professionally discreet and able to respect confidentiality.

  • Communicates well with children, colleagues and parents.
