We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the team at Bannerman Road Community Academy. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted support for pupils, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, small groups or whole classes under teacher direction.
- Lead lessons when required, ensuring a safe, engaging and includise learning environment.
- Adapt learning resources to meet the needs of all pupils including those with additional needs.
- Promote positive behaviour in line with the academies policies and values.
- Assess, monitor and record pupils progress providing feedback to teachers
Pay range:
- SCP 19 - 23 - £14,861.39 - £15,961.36
- FTE - £32,061.00 - £34,434.00
- 19.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
- Part Time, Permanent
Qualifications and Skills:
- Teaching Assistant Level 3 or above qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to leas whole-class learning confidently
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Adaptability and flexibility in a busy school environment
