What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for someone who has:

¨ Been educated to GCSE level in English and Maths and if possible a relevant HLTA training qualification

¨ A caring and sensitive approach

¨ Experience of working in a school

¨ A patient and positive attitude, along with a good sense of humour

¨ Good communication skills, patience and being motivated to encourage pupils to achieve to the best of their ability

¨ A commitment to raising standards

You will be expected to:

¨ Take some responsibility for the progress of identified pupils

¨ Undertake training as required

¨ Keep up to date with changes and developments in education relevant to the role

¨ Work in collaboration with other colleagues

Are you an experienced LSA looking for a new role? At Great Dunmow Primary School, the Governors are looking to employ a highly motivated and dedicated classroom practitioner with excellent organisational skills and a good rapport with children to be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). Either you will already have undertaken the HLTA training or be experienced enough to begin the training. Your role will include delivering lessons that are planned by and with the class teacher, supporting teachers and working with groups of children. We are a friendly, happy and caring school and are looking for a candidate who will contribute to our very effective learning environment.
