What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Gleadless Primary School are seeking a hardworking and committed HLTA to join our team on a temporary basis.

The position will involve covering classes across the school from Nursery to Year 6. This is an excellent professional development opportunity which provides valuable teaching experience and the opportunity to have a real impact on the children at our school.  

We are looking for someone who:  

• Plans and teaches high-quality lessons across the curriculum, providing planned or emergency cover across the school 

• Has an ability to inspire and enthuse all children so learning is a rich and enjoyable experience  

• Is committed to making the most of opportunities to develop as an engaged professional 

• Is a skilled and committed team player who can work closely with colleagues to support excellent outcomes for children  

• Is excellent at building positive and caring relationships with children 

• Is able to respond positively to the needs of all learners, including those with SEND

Gleadless Primary School is a two-form entry school with approximately 400 pupils on roll, situated to the south east of the city.
