What skills and experience we're looking for


We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a HLTA qualification or is willing to work towards it.
  • Has at least two years’ experience supporting children and families.
  • Has experience leading groups or whole-class learning.
  • Is confident in supporting children with complex needs and/or challenging behaviours.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication and report-writing skills.
  • Understands safeguarding responsibilities and works proactively.

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic HLTA with supervisory responsibilities to join our inclusive, supportive and forward-thinking team, working within two PMLD primary/secondary classes to support a group of students with profound and complex needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality learning support for pupils with a range of complex learning needs. Working closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals, you will help ensure all children reach their full potential.
