Home Tutor job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational individual who can work with students who are currently unable to attend lessons onsite.
You will provide 1:1 sessions with students either in their home, or in the community, and will be supporting students from years 7 to 11.
We know that pupils and staff value consistency and so we are looking for someone who can work flexibly but will enjoy building relationships as a regular member of staff.
You will empower students to achieve the desired results and encourage them to see the importance of learning as a foundation to a successful journey in life.
A desire to work with children and young people and to ensure that they have the support needed to overcome barriers to their learning is essential. Though new staff induction, CPD and continual support will be offered.

• Has a particular interest in teaching students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from main stream education.
• Can coach and support students
• Is a highly motivated and flexible individual who can form positive relationships with students with a wide range of special needs, including behavioural, in order to make a difference for some of the most vulnerable adolescents across Poole.
• Ideally has previous experience of working with students with behavioural difficulties is desirable.
• Has a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Has a high level of communication and organisational skills and has a Grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths (Essential).
• Has experience of working in a school (Desirable).
