As a growing school we are looking to expand our Pastoral Support Team. We are therefore delighted to announce a vacancy for the position of House Support Assistant at The Victory Academy. Working alongside the Head of House or Head of Year you will support students across Key Stage 3 and 4.The successful candidate will also work with the Pastoral Support Team ensuring the efficient and effective pastoral and behavioural support provision, to enable every child to achieve their full potential.

Other responsibilities include assisting in the promotion of high standards of behaviour and conduct within the Academy and to provide support for colleagues through the enactment of Academy policy and procedure. Supporting colleagues as directed in all aspects of learning, personal development and emotional literacy both within classrooms and in other defined learning environments.

Our House Support Assistant will;

  • Maintain a visible presence about the Academy throughout the day.
  • Supervisor students before school, during break, lunch and after school.
  • Support and monitor interventions for behaviour, learning and achievement.
  • Mentor vulnerable groups of students who are at risk of underachieving.
