What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful applicant for this position will take pride in their own work and be enthusiastic about ensuring that the environment reflects the high academic status of the school. As a business team we work together to ensure a clean and hygienic environment. We pride ourselves in providing support to our colleagues as needed and ensuring our students have a clean, hygienic and safe environment in which to develop.
You must be flexible, organised and able to work methodically, in a busy environment, where days very often do not go to plan. To be able to develop and maintain appropriate relationships with colleagues and students. Champion a safe and clean environment, leading by example, never walking past a problem and creating a space which encourages students to have a sense of pride in their surroundings.
You will need to show an awareness of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations and a commitment to undertake relevant training and development.

Corley Academy is a secondary special school for students with complex social and communication difficulties, part of Thrive Education Partnership.
A significant number of students have an autism diagnosis. Students bring a range of abilities and aspirations, special educational needs, vulnerabilities, challenges and behaviours. Student attainment covers the full National Curriculum and GCSE/vocational range.
