HR Administrator job summary
We are looking for a proactive and professional HR Administrator to join our Multi-Academy Trust, which supports 15 thriving primary schools.
Working collaboratively as part of the HR team, you will contribute to supporting the delivery of a modern, forward-thinking and people-focused HR service during a period of change and growth. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be involved in a wide range of HR administration and coordination activities, helping to ensure our schools are consistently and effectively supported.
On a day-to-day basis, you will support employee relations processes, coordinate recruitment activity across the employee lifecycle in line with safer recruitment requirements, assist with payroll-related queries, and help identify opportunities for improvement. You will contribute to the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and support colleagues to use our HR systems effectively. You’ll also play a part in Trust-wide initiatives, including staff wellbeing and engagement activity, and process improvements that help make our HR service more efficient, consistent and future-focused.
We’re looking for someone with hands-on administration and people-focused experience who is adaptable, open to change, and confident working in a fast-paced, reactive environment. You’ll be comfortable juggling priorities, responding to evolving needs, and supporting the HR team through a period of change and growth.
You don’t need to come from a formal HR background, but you will bring real, lived experience of working in an administrative or people-facing role. You’ll be a natural people person who isn’t afraid to get stuck in, ask questions, and give things a go, with the confidence to learn quickly and take ownership of tasks.
Approachable and personable by nature, you’ll build positive working relationships while handling sensitive information with discretion and care. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively as part of a small, supportive team and bring a practical, solutions-focused mindset, alongside a genuine interest in supporting people at work.
In return, we offer:
- A supportive and close-knit HR team where your ideas will be valued.
- Hybrid working and term-time working options
- A wellbeing package, including access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
If you’re passionate about people, enjoy improving processes, and want to help create a positive working culture across our schools, we’d love to hear from you.
