HR Assistant (inc Payroll) job summary
Including HR, Payroll and Pensions Service
Location: Ideally based in our Southern Hub (supporting Southern schools)
Salary: Min £25,898, dependent on experience
Contract: Up to 37 hours (flexible and term-time options considered)

What you’ll do
As HR Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering efficient and effective HR support, including:
Coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes
Maintaining accurate HR records and systems
Supporting payroll and absence management
Assisting with employee relations and policy queries
Liaising with school leaders and staff across the Southern Hub
Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiative.

We’re seeking someone who is:
Experienced in HR or administration (school experience desirable but not essential)
Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage competing priorities
A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
IT literate and comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office
