HR Business Partner job summary

Embrace Multi Academy Trust is seeking an experienced, proactive and values driven HR Business Partner to join our central HR team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and development of a collaborative, mission focused trust of ten schools - two secondary and eight primary, the majority of which are Church of England academies.

At Embrace, our mission is clear: to ensure every child flourishes and experiences ‘life in all its fullness’, removing barriers, fostering joy, and nurturing hope. Our people are central to our mission and growing talent is one of our guiding principles.

As an operational HR lead, you would play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a people focused, professional HR service.  Working closely with the HR Manager, you will influence and improve HR practice across a range of settings, supporting leaders and colleagues to create welcoming, nurturing and high performing school environments.

This role will appeal to a skilled HR professional who thrives on variety and enjoys making a tangible difference.  Those with strong knowledge of schools’ conditions of service, safer recruitment, and HR practice within the mainstream education sector are particularly encouraged to apply.  As the Trust function develops, for example through trust growth, the expectation will be the further development of the HR function, including future line management responsibility within HR as the team expands.

Flexible working arrangements may be available, and you will join a central team known for its positivity, respect and collaborative approach.  At Embrace, relationships, integrity and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do – and we are looking for someone who shares these values.

Why Embrace?

• Be part of a supportive and cohesive central team, working closely with the HR Manager.

• Enjoy a professional environment founded on mutual respect, collaboration and positive relationships.

• Benefit from a strong wellbeing culture, including access to wellbeing resources, support services and staff discount schemes.

• Experience a varied and fulfilling role, working with primary and secondary academies across different communities.

• Join a majority Church of England trust where relationships, integrity and inclusion underpin everything we do.

Why you?

You will be an experienced HR professional, ideally with substantial experience within the mainstream education sector. You will bring:

• Strong HR knowledge, including up‑to‑date understanding of employment law, safer recruitment and education sector HR practice.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.

• Confidence in handling HR casework and providing professional HR advice to school/trust leaders.

• Strong organisational skills, the ability to work with autonomy, and a calm, solution‑focused approach.

• A commitment to the values, ethos and vision of Embrace Multi Academy Trust.

Formed in April 2019, Embrace is a Church of England majority trust built on the importance of positive relationships.  While each school retains its own identity and individuality, the trust provides continuous support, guidance and leadership.  Our schools work together collaboratively to raise standards and deliver high‑quality educational experiences for all.

Closing date for applications: 9 April 2026 @ 9am.

Interviews: 16 April 2026.
