Hr Business Partner job summary

Base: Finham Park 2, Torrington Avenue (with some travel across Trust sites)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the HR team at Finham Park Multi Academy Trust — a forward-thinking, values-driven organisation employing over 800 staff across our family of schools. We are committed to providing a supportive, developmental and inclusive workplace for every colleague, ensuring our people can thrive and deliver world-class education for our students.

As an HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in delivering proactive and people-focused HR solutions across the Trust. Working closely with the Head of HR and senior leadership teams, you will act as a trusted advisor — guiding managers through complex employee relations issues, supporting workforce planning and resourcing strategies, and driving positive change through people-focused projects and initiatives.

This is a truly varied and rewarding role, offering the chance to use and develop your HR expertise in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. You’ll be part of a small, dynamic team, working alongside one other HR Business Partner and two HR Administrators. We work collaboratively as a team and every day brings new opportunities to make an impact, contribute ideas, and shape the way HR supports our schools and staff.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has solid experience in employee relations, change management and HR best practice
  • Can coach and mentor others, particularly in ER case management
  • Brings confidence, integrity and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced, people-centred environment
  • Communicates effectively, building trust and credibility quickly
  • Is passionate about people management and driving positive change via people management projects
  • Is CIPD qualified, level 5 or above

In return, we offer a supportive and ambitious working environment that values innovation, professional development, and the impact that great HR can have on school communities. You’ll receive a comprehensive induction, opportunities for continued professional growth, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to the Trust’s success and culture.
