HR & Finance Co-ordinator job summary
The role is designed to provide a high quality, effective HR and financial service for the school, providing effective administrative support for the employee lifecycle with particular focus on recruitment, induction, payroll, employee records and operational HR. The critical purpose of the role is to undertake the required safer recruitment checks and accurately maintain the Single Central Register to ensure compliance. The post holder will support the business manager in all HR and finance related matters and be the first point of contact to support colleagues and management.
The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, proven experience of handling sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy, and the confidence to challenge compliance with HR policies at all levels. Excellent IT skills are required, particularly in using SIMS and Microsoft applications.
Keeping calm under pressure and being able to work to tight deadlines are also key so organisational skills and high attention to detail are critical.
Previous experience in a busy HR role is desirable preferably within an educational setting.

Looking for someone who has experience in
- An understanding of HR processes within schools
- Working within a school setting.
- Working proactively
- Working with high accuracy and organisation.
- Experience with finance software e.g, FMS
- Experience of some finance functions such as accounts payable
