HR Lead- Maternity Cover job summary

About the Role

This role is central to delivering a professional, efficient and confidential HR service across Cooks Spinney Primary Academy and Nursery and Magna Carta Primary Academy.

As the HR Lead, you will support staff throughout their employment journey, from recruitment and onboarding to absence management, wellbeing support and offboarding.

You will be a key point of contact for staff and leaders, ensuring all HR processes run smoothly, accurately and in line with Trust policies, safer recruitment expectations and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities include managing HR systems, maintaining the Single Central Record, coordinating payroll information, supporting complex casework and ensuring all data is handled with complete confidentiality and compliance.

Working closely with Headteachers, SLT and the HR Business Partner, you will help maintain a positive staff experience and contribute to a safe, supportive school environment.

About You

You are highly organised, detail focused and committed to delivering an exceptional HR service. You understand the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality and are confident managing sensitive information with care.

You build strong professional relationships, communicate clearly and thrive in a busy school setting. You are solution focused, proactive and motivated to support staff across all stages of their employment. Experience in HR, education or compliance processes would be beneficial, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
