About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Manager to join our Trust and play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting our HR provision across multiple school sites.

As the Trust continues to grow, we are entering an exciting phase in which the HR function is being centralised across all of our schools. In support of this development, we are seeking to expand the central HR team through the creation of this new role.

Reporting directly to the HR Director, you will work collaboratively to ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services, provide strategic and operational support, and lead a team of HR Officers.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Line manage and support HR Officers across all Trust schools.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and development opportunities to HR team members.
  • Conduct regular reviews, spot checks, and ensure compliance with employment law and best practice.
  • Advise on complex HR issues including risk assessments, sickness absence, and employee relations.
  • Monitor and report HR metrics to the HR Director.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a HR role for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Previous experience of managing staff or a team.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Experience in the education sector (desirable but not essential).
  • CIPD qualification at Level 5.

As part of this role, you will be required to travel across multiple sites; therefore, daily access to a vehicle and possession of a full driving licence are essential requirements.
