What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a seasoned HR advisor with experience in a senior HR role and in a school setting. At Southfields Academy we have an inclusive ethos and this means that we do not turn away students who may present with challenges, but, instead we work hard to deliver the best possible provision so that every child has progression opportunities and can further make meaningful contributions in society. This means that our staff deserve the best HR who can support them and guide them whilst maintaining the highest professional standards.

You might not have decades of experience - but you bring solid HR knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You’re confident enough to advise, but humble enough to ask when you're unsure. You understand the importance of confidentiality, and your attention to detail means processes are followed correctly, every time.

Whether you're supporting recruitment, resolving people queries, advising on policy, or guiding a line manager through a sensitive issue - you’ll be hands-on, thoughtful, and ready to roll up your sleeves. You’ll also know when to escalate appropriately or seek advice to ensure the best outcomes for staff and students. Your responsibilities include:
