We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HR Officer to support the operation of HR services Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy (OSSMA). You will be a critical member of the People and Culture team, supporting the daily operation of HR services in the Academy and you’ll work with the wider team to provide a brilliant HR service, support employee relations, and continuously improve our approach, ultimately having a positive impact on the education we provide to pupils.

You’ll also play a key role in the delivery of our people priorities, developing our One OAT culture, ensuring that Ormiston is a place that people want to join and stay part of.

This role is fast paced, varied and dynamic, offering opportunities to work with HR stakeholders across all layers of the organisation. You will benefit from the support of a fantastic, experienced HR team in the Ormiston central team. This is a great opportunity that will give you experience working with schools across the Ormiston network and HR stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, as well as having access to sector partners and colleagues to network and share best practice with along the way.

This role is perfect for someone looking for experience in a large MAT and will provide exposure to all aspects of HR at many levels, from onboarding, absence management and staff development. The successful candidate will be a confident relationship builder with excellent communication skills and have a good operational understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
