We are seeking to recruit a HR Officer to oversee all personnel matters within our growing school. This includes managing payroll, absence, recruitment, wellbeing and all general aspects of the employee life cycle at WVA. Up until now, HR has been managed by the PA to the Principal, but with the continued growth of the school, we are looking to establish HR as its own separate entity. Knowledge of Bromcom and iTrent would be an advantage but not essential.
Weldon Village Academy is at the heart of the community and a school where every child is known, valued and supported, values intrinsic to Meridian Trust Schools. We also know, value and support our staff, and the appointment of a HR officer reflects this commitment to ensuring that WVA is a happy and fulfilling place for people to work.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about HR and keep up to date with best practice in the field. They will also be empathetic, a good team player and able to balance the demands of the job with the ability to smile and be positive, even in challenging times.
The successful candidate will be well supported by the Meridian Trust HR team, who provide training, guidance and advice, as well as a valuable network of expertise.
WVA is a happy and friendly place to work, something that is incredibly important to us. If you feel you could add to this vibrant and supportive community, we look forward to your application.
