HTLA - Numeracy job summary

We are seeking to appoint a committed and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Numeracy to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in raising standards in numeracy across the school, supporting pupils both in class and through targeted intervention programmes.

As a HTLA Numeracy, you will deliver planned learning activities, lead small‑group sessions and provide high‑quality numeracy support to pupils across KS3 and KS4.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver numeracy-focused interventions for individuals and small groups
  • Support pupils’ understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Deliver pre‑planned learning activities, occasionally covering whole classes where appropriate
  • Track and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
