What skills and experience we're looking for

South Bermondsey Children and Family Hub provides services for children from preconception to the age of 25 with SEND and their families. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed family focused worker to help us achieve great things. Across the locality there are areas characterised by high levels of need and family movement in which communities are changing and challenging, yet vibrant.

The key attributes for this role are:

 Ability to talk to people and engage with the community

 Understand the role of a hub in the community

 Being welcoming and enthusiastic

 Understand difficulties parents might face

 Being flexible and resilient to change and a developing environment

Your role will be to support the Children and Family Hub services which include

(a) Best Start for Life’ offer for the under 5’s

(b) Children & Youth Services 2-19 years

(c) Parenting Support offer (EPEC)

(d) Partnership working with Southwark Children and Youth Services, Voluntary Sector providing services to children and young people

(e) Family health and Wellbeing programmes

All members of the team are committed to providing a high-quality service. In addition, we expect all members of the team to develop and maintain effective working partnerships with all stake holders which include parents, health services and other teams related to Children & Family Hubs and key priorities.

 Previous administration is essential

 Able to use CANVA, excel, word to a high standard - eye for detail is a must!

 Ability to work effectively as part of a team

 Having emotional intelligence in the workplace and building professional partnerships

 Liaising with parents, contractors and partners requires good customer service and interpersonal skills
