Human Resources Administrator job summary

We are seeking an HR Administrator to join our friendly and professional HR team on a fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service across our Multi Academy Trust, supporting 8 schools

About the Role

Working closely with the Lead HR Administrator and wider HR team, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across the employee lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing recruitment packs, interview schedules, offer letters and employment documentation
  • Maintaining HR databases and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Supporting the administration of starters, leavers and contractual changes
  • Assisting with safeguarding compliance and pre-employment checks
  • Providing administrative support for maternity, paternity, appraisal and other employment processes

The role requires a high level of confidentiality, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous administrative experience, ideally within HR, education or a similar professional environment
  • Has excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Has a keen eye for detail and can maintain accurate records
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office applications and database systems
  • Can handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a team

Previous HR experience would be advantageous but is not essential; we are keen to hear from candidates with strong administrative skills and a willingness to learn.
