The role will be partly based at our head office in the centre of Barnsley, with some home working. The days of work are preferably Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Alternatively, we can consider the hours worked over more days, as shorter hours. We do operate flexi-scheme and have excellent benefits. The successful applicant will be experienced in all aspects of the HR function preferably from a school/academy or local government setting.

Key role duties include:

  • Assisting with all Central Support Team recruitment, safer recruitment checks, and personnel files management.
  • Reports for the Trust, including termly, statutory and ad hoc.
  • Advising our academies and central managers on a number of HR matters, providing advice on NJC regional terms and conditions of employment as well as conditions for teaching staff.
  • Advising our academies and central managers on safer recruitment checks and practices, and academy contracts of employment, will also feature in this role.

If you have the ability to build strong team professional relationships and work with internal and external stakeholders, this could be the ideal post for you and provides an excellent opportunity to work with an Academy Trust.
