Humanities Teacher (Full Time and Permanent) job summary
Due to expansion of the school, the Governing Body are seeking to appoint a talented, passionate, and committed Humanities Teacher with a track record of excellent outcomes for pupils.
The successful candidate will be able to plan and deliver an engaging and personalised Humanities curriculum focusing on preparing pupils for post 16 provision. This will be achieved through securing appropriate accreditation and developing a range of skills which will equip pupils for the future.
The school welcomes applications from experienced secondary teachers from mainstream or special schools with a secure knowledge of both BTEC and GCSE qualifications in Humanities at KS4.
Applications will be considered from outstanding NQTs.

High Well School is a Special School which caters for a minimum of seventy 11-16 year olds with an Education Health & Care Plan for severe and profound social, emotional and mental health needs as well as other learning difficulties. The School meets the needs of some of Wakefield’s most complex and vulnerable young people.
High Well endeavours to provide a nurturing environment with personalised support and specialist teaching to enable our pupils to re-engage in learning, develop their social and emotional skills and leave with not only appropriate qualifications but the skills required to succeed in life after school.
