Saint Ralph Sherwin Multi Academy Trust are looking to appoint an enthusiastic ICT Field Technician to join our team.

Your responsibilities;

  • Provide an excellent level of customer service to our Trust’s staff and students.
  • IT systems support across a cluster of schools.
  • Support an active ITIL based helpdesk.
  • Support a wide range of hardware and software solutions across a variety of teaching and learning environments.
  • Be part of large and exciting new IT projects across the Trust and in your cluster of schools.

  • Customer Service - Teaching and learning is at the forefront of everything we do. We provide a warm and friendly service to staff and students.
  • Fast Learner - ICT and education moves at a rapid pace. We need to keep up with this to give our students the best chance of success.
  • Enthusiastic - We want people who come in every day ready to excel and push themselves as part of the team.
  • Due to the nature of the role certain tasks may need to be undertaken out of hours and at weekends a certain level of flexibility is required.

The role will support a cluster of Trust academies, providing advice and technical support, therefore some travel across the Trust will be required.

St Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy is a mixed, comprehensive, Roman Catholic secondary school situated in the thriving town of Glossop, Derbyshire. It is part of the newly formed Catholic Multi Academy Trust; St Ralph Sherwin.

The school is has good commuter links to Stockport, Macclesfield and Manchester by car and rail.

A smaller than average secondary school, St Philip Howard currently has 480 pupils on roll and is growing rapidly. St Philip Howard is on a journey to outstanding and since the Academy opened in September 2015 has gone from strength to strength. The recent Inspections which took place in 2018 have confirmed this.

Ofsted inspected the Academy in January 2018. Inspectors acknowledged the hard work and commitment of the Senior Leadership Team, Staff and Governors.
