ICT Support Technician job summary
This role will be based at Henley-in-Arden School but will involve working across the schools in the Trust.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 08:00am - 4:00pm (including 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
We are looking for a suitably qualified, self-motivated person to provide a range of technical and general ICT support to staff and students within the school.
The post will be based at Henley in Arden School, a secondary school in Warwickshire, but the ability to work independently and to travel between all schools in the Trust is essential.
Arden Multi Academy Trust is a family of secondary schools comprising of Arden Academy (Knowle), Lode Heath School (Solihull), Henley in Arden School (Henley) and Park Hall Academy (Castle Bromwich).

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to:
- Provide technical IT support to staff and students
- Detect, diagnose and resolve PC, printer, peripheral and software errors, assisting students and staff when required
- Perform routine checks on PCs, printers, projectors/ sound and repair when required
- Maintain the school website
- Attend key events e.g. Open Evenings to provide technical support as required
- Provide support to other members of the IT Team
- Providing first-line IT Desktop support including troubleshooting, resolving hardware and application errors, including replacing peripherals, repairing laptops and desktops
- Provide cover of network manager’s absence
- Set up accounts for new staff on Papercut; issue user code and department account
- Assist with user administration managing Microsoft accounts and other thrid party accounts, to include email distribution lists, access to other application staff may need
- Create ID cards, add accounts to Paxton access control system and issue sign in code
- Manage visitor sign in iPad, including Wi-Fi connection, label printing and software updates
- Manage CCTV system - export footage off a Hikvision system and identify any issues to escalate
- Use of ESET to monitor vulnerabilities and highlight them to the network manager
- Monitor and provide first line support through the ticketing system for both staff on site and Parents with queries
- Management of Printers including liaising with third party suppliers for servicing and ordering of consumables
Key Skills required:
- Strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to manage and lead a diverse team
- A strong focus on customer service with excellent interpersonal skills
- The ability to work flexibly and operate under strict time constraints
Qualifications required
- Level 3 qualification in appropriate discipline (essential)
- Level 4 qualification (desirable)
