What skills and experience we're looking for

We wish to recruit an ICT Technician who will be key in supporting effective ICT across the school, maintaining hardware and software for teaching and learning under the guidance of the school’s ICT lead and as part of the ICT team of the Cranmer Education Trust. This role is critical in supporting the main priority for St Anne’s Academy: progress for all our students.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is keen to develop further, learn and undertake ICT training specific to the systems used at St Anne’s
  • Has a flexible and proactive approach to work and a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Can build positive and productive working relationships with others

The successful candidate will have specific technical knowledge and experience as outlined within the person specification. School specific infrastructure may be something the successful candidate will need to learn, but already having strong and relevant technical ICT experience, this should not be a problem.

What the school offers its staff

Working for St Anne’s means that you would be part of the Cranmer Education Trust, a successful, growing Trust which prides itself on looking after its people, offering a high level of support and access to expertise. Alongside St Anne’s CE Academy, the Trust is made up of The Blue Coat School, and two primary schools; East Crompton St George’s and Mayfield Primary. The Trust also incorporates a teacher training school and the East Manchester Teaching Hub; both of which support the training and development of new and existing teachers across the North West of England. We also opened a new secondary school in Oldham in September 2022 for 1,200 pupils, The Brian Clarke CE Academy.
