ICT Technician job summary

Fairfield High School is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic IT Technician to play a key role in the development of the school's ICT systems and infrastructure during an exciting phase of development.

If you have completed an IT Apprenticeship or have experience in IT support and are looking to apply your skills in a specialist educational setting, this post could be for you.

Hours of work are 37 per week, all year around with 26 days holiday per year, plus Bank Holidays. After 5 years of service, holiday entitlement will increase to 31 days per year.

The role will be based between Fairfield High School and May Park Primary School and other schools in the area who join the Trust. The applicant may be expected to be available to support other schools across the Trust.

We are well resourced and looking to appoint a suitably qualified and dynamic candidate to contribute to the development and expansion of ICT across the curriculum. You will need to combine outstanding technical knowledge with effective interpersonal skills.

You'll need to have a clear sense of the additional responsibilities that come with working in a school environment.

You will have:

  • Experience in providing outstanding IT technical support
  • Excellent organisational skills
