ICT Technician/ Level 1 job summary

ICT Technician L1 - Permanent 

Hours of work: 35 hours a week, Monday - Friday with a 30 minute unpaid break, Term Time

There is an expectation that you may need to attend training or staff meetings outside of your working hours, this will be paid as overtime.

Salary Details FTE: LG Band 3, points 5-6 - £23,500- £23,893 (FTE)

Actual Salary: £18,693- £19,947 based on experience

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and innovative ICT Technician to join us at Moat CC. The post-holder will play an important role in supporting the staff and students within the school in ensuring the safe and proper use and maintenance of resources and equipment.

The successful Candidate should be an organised, enthusiastic and proactive individual to provide support to our staff. You would be working in our busy, successful school with an effective and friendly team, providing technical support to students and teachers.  As well as this, you’ll take pride in ensuring our IT equipment is maintained to a high standard, conforming to Health and Safety standards whilst also auditing the use of  equipment and maintaining the equipment stores.

A working knowledge of IT systems is essential and experience of working in a secondary school is desirable. Any relevant training will be given.

This is an interesting role that may suit someone looking for a term time only job.

The right candidate will have:

• GCSE A-C Math's/English

• A further/higher education in a ICT subject specialism would be desirable but not essential

• Have experience of working in a similar ICT or educational environment;

• Working knowledge of basic ICT skills

• Have good working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

• Are enthusiastic and flexible to business needs

• Are able to work within a dynamic and challenging environment

• Have excellent communication and team work skills

• Are able to manage your own time and resources
