What skills and experience we're looking for

This is a pivotal role within our pastoral structure, offering the opportunity to make a tangible difference to student behaviour, engagement and inclusion across the school.

As Inclusion and Engagement Manager, you will lead the Inclusion and Behaviour Support Centre, working closely with students who require additional support to succeed. You will play a key role in helping students re-engage with learning, reintegrate successfully into lessons, and develop the behaviours needed to thrive in school.

Working collaboratively with senior leaders, pastoral staff, teachers, families and external agencies, you will ensure that support is consistent, targeted and impactful—helping every student to reach their full potential.

We are looking for a highly motivated and confident individual who is committed to ensuring that every student is able to succeed, regardless of the challenges they may face.

You will:

  • Be an inspirational leader, capable of managing and developing a team while setting consistently high standards
  • Have the ability to build strong, professional relationships with students, families and colleagues to support positive outcomes
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills, with the confidence to handle and resolve challenging situations effectively
  • Be highly organised, with the ability to analyse data, track patterns and use insight to drive improvement
  • Show resilience, initiative and a solution-focused approach when working in a fast-paced environment
  • Have experience of working with young people and a strong understanding of how to support engagement and inclusion
  • Hold GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) and a Level 3 qualification, with strong ICT skills
