Campion School is seeking an Inclusion Co-ordinator to join the pastoral and inclusion team. You will be responsible for:
Day to day operation of the inclusion provision.
Student triage and support, being the first point of contact for students needing support.
Responding to daily incidents, concerns and requests.
Behaviour and pastoral support.
Communication and liaison with students, families and staff
Record keeping and administration.
The aim of the support and guidance will be to enable all students to access the curriculum and to facilitate full inclusion into school life, supporting them to learn as independently as possible and to develop to their full potential.
You should have a quiet and encouraging manner with the ability to remain calm in difficult situations, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and an awareness of the importance of inclusion for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, including qualifications equivalent to Level 2 in English and Maths
A Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience of working in a school environment
