What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Understanding of what makes ‘quality first’ teaching.
  • Ability to evaluate effectiveness of SEN provision
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships
  • Good organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Knowledge of Pupil Premium
  • Teaching experience, ideally across EYFS, KS1 & KS2
  • Experience of working at a whole-school level
  • Involvement in self-evaluation and development planning
  • Experience of conducting training/leading INSET
  • Designating Safeguarding Lead experience
