Inclusion Lead with Teaching responsibility job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Inclusion Lead to join our warm and welcoming school team.

We have a commitment and passion to ensure that every child has the support, care, guidance and challenge to set them on the right path and as such the Beeston Fields Family is a fantastic one to a part of. You would be joining an exceptional and supportive team of professionals, who are relentless in our pursuit of excellence and our mission to make every day count for the children. Each of our individual roles has an impact on the future of our children and so, we put them at the heart of the decisions we make and the services we provide.

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to manage the responsibilities of both classroom teaching and SEND coordination, who is passionate about inclusion and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Who can demonstrate a strong understanding of special educational needs and the ability to develop effective, inclusive provision. Who can build positive relationships with children, parents, staff and external professionals.

You will lead on SEND provision whilst also having a wider responsibility for promoting inclusion across the school, ensuring barriers to learning, attendance and engagement are identified and addressed. The role includes a 0.4 teaching commitment within the school's Enhanced Provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the provision, working closely with a team of Teaching Assistants and Personal Care Assistants to ensure a well-planned, well resourced, effectively assessed and adaptive provision that meets the individual needs of pupils. The Inclusion Lead will work alongside the Behaviour Support Worker, Designated Safeguarding Leads and wider pastoral team to ensure a fully inclusive school where barriers to learning, attendance and participation are understood and every effort is made to overcome them.

As well as being a leader in the classroom and ensuring you meet the expectations set out in the teacher standards, you will work with the Trust and the Headteacher to shape an inclusive culture within the school.

We Can Offer You:

  • A commitment to people across our partnership, underpinned by our people principles: adaptability, wellness, recognising achievement, employee voice and engagement, professional development and growth, inclusivity, and collaboration.
  • Access to extensive, high-quality CPL at every stage of your career, including opportunities to grow as a leader.
  • The opportunity to progress across the partnership, realising your career ambitions.
  • Access to an employee assistance programme that offers specialist support, including counselling, financial support, and legal advice.
  • A fantastic working environment, with a team that works together for the benefit of the children in our schools.
  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children every day
