What skills and experience we're looking for
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional, innovative, energetic leader who is focussed upon the social, emotional and learning needs of our vulnerable pupils and those with additional needs.
You will be part of a new and highly motivated SLT, work alongside experienced and aspirational teacher and teaching assistant colleagues and be supported by an expert Inclusion team. You will also work closely with Manchester Sensory Support Services as Alma Park is the Manchester hub for Hearing Assessment in the Early Years and the only signing school in Manchester for children who are profoundly deaf or have severe hearing needs.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Is a fully qualified SENDCO
- Possesses excellent leadership and people skills
- Demonstrates a commitment and thorough understanding of how best to ensure the success of vulnerable pupils and those with additional needs.
- Provides strong direction and management of the teaching and learning of vulnerable pupils and those with additional needs in the relentless pursuit of raising standards
- Is an excellent role model to others ensuring best practice for our children throughout school
- Takes a lead role in the monitoring and evaluation of standards across departments
- Works collaboratively with staff at all levels to develop school policy and strategy
- Embraces our ethos of celebrating diversity and inclusion
- Demonstrates a passion for improving children’s lives and commitment to ensuring all children make excellent progress, with no limitations
