Inclusion Leader job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the provision for all pupils with additional needs at Ash Hill, including pupils with SEND, LAC, EAL, disadvantaged and gifted and talented pupils. The right candidate will work closely with class teachers and support staff to create the best possible curriculum and provision that is inclusive for all pupils. They will be a part of the senior leadership team, providing strategic leadership around inclusion and safeguarding, and they will work closely with other agencies to ensure the best provision for all our pupils.
About usAsh Hill Primary School is in the Micklefield area of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The youngest children at our school are 3 years old (Nursery class), and the oldest are eleven (Year 6). There are approximately 210 children at Ash Hill altogether. About the role
Key responsibilities:
To coordinate the strategic direction and development of inclusive provision across the school so that all pupils with a range of additional needs, as identified as EAL, SEND, Disadvantaged and G&T, are well supported
To lead and develop the school’s safeguarding culture, policies and practices alongside the Headteacher.
Play a leading role in maintaining/establishing the whole school’s learning culture and ethos and providing strategies to support pupils with additional learning needs to meet Ash Hill’s challenging expectations in the area of behaviour for learning.
Act as Designated Person for Child Protection, ensuring that arrangements are robust and meet statutory requirements.
Act as designated person for Children Looked After and work with the virtual school to ensure their needs are met.
Work closely with external agencies to ensure the needs of pupils are met.

About youThe successful candidate will:
Be proactive and hardworking
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Hold the NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs qualification
Have a successful track record of teaching across the whole curriculum and be able to evidence good progress and achievement of all pupils, but especially those who have SEN
Have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with a range of strategies to support learning for a variety of additional needs
Experience of building positive links with parents and external agencies
Strong commitment to the principles of equality, inclusion, and diversity
Be committed to the safeguarding of all children
Be experienced in leading a positive culture of safeguarding
