We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Manager to join the team at Armthorpe Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about supporting students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and ensuring every young person can access education successfully.

The Role

The Inclusion Manager will coordinate and manage the day-to-day operation of the academy’s internal inclusion provision (Innovation Centre). The successful candidate will work closely with pastoral teams, teaching staff and external agencies to support students who require additional social, emotional or behavioural support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the daily operation of the Inclusion Provision to ensure a safe, structured and supportive environment.
  • Coordinating student placements within the provision and supporting reintegration into mainstream lessons.
  • Delivering targeted interventions and therapeutic support for students with SEMH needs.
  • Developing personalised support plans and behaviour strategies.
  • Monitoring student attendance, behaviour, engagement and progress.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to reporting and review meetings.
  • Working collaboratively with staff, parents/carers and external agencies to ensure appropriate support is in place.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children and young people, particularly those with SEMH needs.
  • Has knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Has experience working within a school or educational setting.
  • Is confident supporting behaviour management and delivering interventions.
  • Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Is passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for young people.

Essential qualifications include:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.

A relevant degree or additional qualifications related to SEND or SEMH would be advantageous.
