The Role - Inclusion Room Manager
We are seeking to appoint an Inclusion Room Manager who will play a key role in supporting behaviour, attendance, and student wellbeing across the academy. You will be central to creating a safe, calm, and purposeful learning environment where all pupils can succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting Heads of Year (HOY) with pastoral care and acting as a first point of contact for parents/carers.
- Leading interventions to improve attendance, punctuality, and behaviour.
- Managing the inclusion room, including supervising students in internal isolation and detention.
- Supporting students with behaviour modification strategies and one-to-one mentoring.
- Liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the right support.
- Contributing to safeguarding, monitoring, and reporting using systems such as CPOMS and SIMS.
- Assisting with duties before, during, and after school to maintain a calm and orderly environment.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a motivated and professional individual who can act as a positive role model for students and support the wider pastoral and inclusion team.
You will have:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- The ability to encourage, motivate, and support students.
- Experience of working with young people, families, and external agencies.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- Strong ICT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
A clean driving licence, experience of event organisation, and knowledge of supporting vulnerable learners would be an advantage.
