A supportive space designed to help students regulate, reflect and reintegrate into learning. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the Reset Room operates at the highest standards by managing behaviour calmly and consistently in line with academy policies, creating and sustaining a calm working environment where students can refocus, and supporting them to re‑regulate and reflect so they are ready to transition back into lessons successfully.
You will work as part of a cohesive team to uphold expectations and maintain the quality and consistency of provision, ensuring accurate attendance registering and communicating clearly with colleagues to support reintegration, monitor progress and keep everyone informed of student needs. This role is central to promoting equity, supporting vulnerable learners and embedding high expectations across the academy, and we are seeking a calm, proactive and resilient individual with strong behaviour management experience within a school environment.
About the role
As an Inclusion Supervisor, you will:
- Lead the daily running of the Reset Room, creating a calm and focused environment where students can reflect, regulate and continue meaningful learning. Support students in understanding behaviour incidents, making positive choices and maintaining accurate attendance and behaviour records.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation by providing consistent boundaries, structure and restorative approaches, supporting students with SEMH, SEND and behaviour‑related needs.
- Provide high‑quality support through 1:1 and small‑group work, helping students stay engaged, build resilience and continue academic tasks during their time in the Reset Room.
- Work collaboratively with the Inclusion Team, teachers, pastoral staff and leaders to ensure clear expectations and effective communication. Liaise professionally with parents and carers, and refer safeguarding or pastoral concerns promptly to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Maintain accurate records and administration, logging behaviour information, interventions and follow‑up actions, updating support plans, and using IT systems confidently to analyse information and produce reports.
About you
You will be:
- Caring, empathetic and committed to supporting young people to succeed.
- Emotionally intelligent and resilient, able to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- An effective communicator who can adapt your communication style to suit different audiences, including students, staff and families.
- Skilled in motivating and encouraging young people, with strong behaviour management capabilities.
- Organised and professional, able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
- Committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and the wellbeing of all students.
You will have:

- Proven behaviour management experience within a school environment.
- Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH or behaviour needs.
- Understanding of child development, barriers to learning and effective inclusion practices.
