Job Title – Inclusion Support Assistant
Location: Hastings
Salary: £22,433 pro rata, £11.95 per hour (Actual Salary £16,080)
Contract: Fixed-Term
Hours: Part-time – 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Start date: As soon as possible
Closing date: 9am on Wednesday 19th February 2024

About the role:
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Inclusion Support Assistant to support identified children with EHCP’s in KS2. This role is part time and fixed term, for the length of time the children remain at Blacklands. The working pattern will be agreed with successful applicants according to the needs of the children. The role will involve managing medical needs as well as helping to implement work programmes for the identified children, assisting in planning and the management and preparation of resources. The successful candidate will also provide reports and feedback to the Inclusion Manager as requested as well as supporting with the wider class as directed. The successful candidate will:
· have experience of working with primary aged children with SEND, including Autism, diabetes, hyperinsulinism or communication and interaction needs,
· have experience of supporting children with sensory needs,
· have skills in supporting the development of Speech and Language,
· have experience of Makaton & providing visual resources
· have experience of supporting children with risk awareness
· have good literacy and mathematical skills,
· be prepared to support with personal intimate care as required,
· be hard working and adaptable to change.
