Inclusion Teaching Assistant job summary

At Claycots School, we are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and motivated Inclusion Teaching Assistant to join our thriving and ambitious primary school community. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and ensuring that every child is able to thrive, achieve and feel included.

Working closely with the SENCo, class teachers and wider inclusion team, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including those with EHCPs. You will help deliver tailored learning programmes, provide targeted support, and contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and supported.

This role is both varied and impactful. You will:

  • Support pupils’ learning, development and independence through structured and adaptive teaching support
  • Help implement Individual Education Plans, behaviour plans and EHCP provision
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • Contribute to high-quality classroom environments and effective behaviour management
  • Promote inclusion and equal access to learning for all pupils

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A genuine passion for inclusion and a commitment to helping every child succeed
  • Strong interpersonal skills, resilience and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • The ability to adapt, reflect and respond to the needs of pupils in a busy school environment
