We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Inclusion Tutor to join our highly successful and dynamic inclusion team. You will join an experienced and growing team of dedicated professionals. Inclusion sits at the heart of all we do here at Bridlington School and enables our students to achieve success in reaching their hopes, ambitions and dreams no matter what their starting point. Our inclusion tutors play a pivotal role in helping some of our students who face additional challenges to develop strong connections with the school. This is an exciting role which allows you to come alongside students and journey with them from their starting point by helping them to develop their academic and social skills as well as nurture their aspirations and ambitions.

The Role

As an Inclusion Tutor, you will:

Work collaboratively with the Inclusion Pastoral Manager, Middle Leaders, teachers, pastoral teams, and the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion to identify and address students’ attendance, behavioural, and learning needs.

Plan, develop, and deliver engaging sessions aligned with departmental learning journeys, as well as bespoke interventions focused on:

o Improving attendance and behaviour

o Building confidence and emotional regulation

o Developing positive learning habits

Track and measure outcomes from each session to monitor progress and impact, supporting reintegration into mainstream classrooms.

Liaise with teaching and support staff to provide tailored strategies for students during and after intervention.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to identifying needs, assessing students, and creating individual action plans.

Deliver one-to-one and small group sessions, adapting lessons to meet students’ abilities and the National Curriculum.

Provide accurate feedback and reports on attendance, engagement, progress, and behaviour.

Support students through key transitions between educational settings and stages.

Invigilate exams and tests when required.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

Classroom-based experience and an understanding of working with students who have experienced trauma or attachment difficulties.

A flexible approach and the ability to build positive relationships with young people.
