What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with children with SEND. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and committed practitioner; they will have the necessary skills and experience of working to support children with SEND (in particular children with Communication and Interaction needs, including but not limited to Autism); they will understand the needs of the children they will be working alongside; and will be able to work well as part of a caring and committed Integrated Resource and wider school team. The successful candidate will be passionate, professional and pro-active. They will possess a dedication to improving the life chances for all children within the unit and wider school, and will provide quality support for all children and their families. Experience of interventions such as Intensive Interactions, Social Stories and working towards children’s personal EHCP targets and outcomes is desired but not essential.
