Intervention / classroom based Teaching Assistant job summary
Working under the direction of the SENCO and Headteacher, the successful candidate will work with children in a 1 to 1 capacity as well as with small groups or the whole class supporting the class teacher with directed learning activities.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be patient, enthusiastic and confident in their own ability to work with individuals and groups
• Have an understanding of trauma based behaviour and the compassion required to work with all children irrespective of needs and background.
• Have a good standard of written and spoken English, as well as good basic skills in Mathematics
• Need to be creative, with a positive outlook and a ‘can-do’ attitude
