Salary: Thurrock Band C Point 13 – 19

30 hours per week
Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3:00pm (With a 30-minute unpaid break)
Fixed term contract until 31st August 2025
37 weeks per year, term time only

We are seeking a dedicated Intervention Tutor to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting students who need additional help to develop their knowledge and understanding in school, ensuring they achieve their full potential. This role will have a core focus on English, however support in other subjects may be required, including Maths.
As an Intervention Tutor, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective interventions to small groups and individual students.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting learning activities to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and the wider school team to implement strategies that raise achievement.
- Use your knowledge of the curriculum to create structured, positive, and inclusive learning environments.
- Support the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning objectives.

- Experience in delivering targeted interventions that have demonstrable impact on student progress.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
